Welcome to the new and improved web-world for Second Chance, The Prostitution and Human Trafficking Conference, and the Forever Priceless Campaign. There have been a couple of significant changes from the old pages that we hope will make it easier to share information, connect people to each other and recognize and publicize the efforts in Toledo to combat Human Trafficking.
The Visual Layout is perhaps the most obvious change on the site. Our site is laid out in black, purple and pink to demonstrate our support of the Forever Priceless Campaign. In addition to the color scheme, each of the 3 branches of Second Chance have their own “tab” in the top right corner. Second Chance is the base of our organization and efforts. Founded in 1993 by Dr Celia Williamson, Second Chance has actively and directly fought for and provided victim and survivor services for over17 years. The Prostitution Human Trafficking and Sex Work conference is entering its 7th year of hosting a forum for advocates, researchers, survivors, service providers and law enforcement to share findings, information and to develop best practices that can only improve our efforts to address human trafficking. Finally Forever Priceless is the community building component of Second Chance.
We've posted our Facebook and MySpace page links, and as evidenced here we've started a Blog to hopefully highlight activities, share important accomplishments and keep this site active and lively. News and updates are always posted to your right and we'll do our very best to keep news and progress against all forms of trafficking here. All of the research information and PDF files are still available on the Second Chance Page under Resources, and we hope that you will become a very important part of our Forever Priceless page by taking action against Trafficking and posting your projects and activities on our project page.
This site is for you as much as for our organizations and actions. As you educate and take action against Trafficking, as we build momentum in our fight to eliminate exploitation, your projects and events and activities are key to spreading awareness about this issue and the impact it has our our women and children. We invite your participation and your enthusiasm.
Thank you! In advance for your involvement, and …remember to Get Connected, Be Empowered, and Be the Change!
