Incarceration of Child Victims versus Safe Houses

This short report looks at the current situation of incarceration of children who are victims of domestic minor sex trafficking. Children who are victims of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking are children who are under 18 years old and are U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents who have been victimized by sex trafficking. Children victimized by sex trafficking should be provided with the opportunity for treatment and recovery in Safe Houses, not incarcerated in juvenile detention centers.
