Where We Are

Toledo, OH has been identified by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the FBI as a major recruitment area for child sex trafficking. This means that significant numbers of youth (under 18 years old) who are US citizens are recruited, coerced, kidnapped, and sold into the sex industry. Victims of child sex trafficking are often trafficked from Toledo to other cities throughout the United States. Through research by Dr. Celia Williamson victims reported being trafficked to: New York, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Washington DC, Arkansas, Dayton, Bowling Green, Fort Wayne, Detroit, and Cleveland.

Toledo has extensive trafficking networks that consist of multiple people who all benefit financially off of the sexual exploitation of children.
